CD/DVD-ROM Network Installation
Installing your CD and DVD-ROM publications on your network may seem confusing, especially if you are unaccustomed to performing these installations yourself. This simple to follow installation guide, will give you all the information you need to get your CD or DVD publications up and running in no time.
Installation at the File Server
- Logon as Administrator. Create a shared directory on the file server. All users who will access this directory must be given read and write permissions.
- Insert the CD/DVD into the appropriate CD/DVD-ROM drive (on the file server).
- Run the setup.exe file from the CD/DVD.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted to select setup type, choose SERVER INSTALLATION.
- The system prompts you with a default installation path. Important: This path must be changed to point the installation to the shared directory that you created in Step 1. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions.
- A message will appear to inform you that the installation is complete.
- When the installation process is complete, several icons appear in a Jutastat e-publications Program Group.
Installation at the workstation
- At the users’ workstations, map a drive to the shared directory on the file server used during the network installation.
- Run the Workstation setup from the <mapped drive letter>:\Jutastat\WSSetup.exe.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted to Select Publication(s), choose the required Jutastat e-publication(s) to install.
- A message will appear to inform you that the installation is complete.
When the installation process is complete, several icons appear in a Jutastat e-publications Program Group. - Repeat the above steps at each user’s workstation.
Note: When you receive an update disc:
You will ONLY need to perform the update on the file server.
You do NOT need to reinstall the update at each workstation.
